Helping keep our community safe
On some Sundays we
hold our church services on-line, using Zoom and on some Sundays we hold our
services in our church building. If attending one of
our services in our church building, please help us play our part in keeping
Hockley and Hawkwell safe, by following these rules:
We will love to see
you, but please if you, anyone in your household or your support bubble is
feeling unwell, with symptoms of COVID-19 or symptoms of FLU, you will need to
stay at home
and come again once you have self-isolated and are better.
Please stay at home
also if you have been asked to self-isolate
by ‘Test and Trace’.
As you enter the church building you will need to:
Wear a face covering
Use the alcohol-based hand gel at our Hand Sanitiser Station.
Maintain social distancing from those outside your household.
We need to keep an attendance list for the purposes of Test and Trace. The attendance list is your name and telephone number. We will only use this for UK’s Test and Trace service and we will dispose of it after three weeks. This is optional and we respect your privacy. If you do not want us to hold your details on the attendance list please let us know.
Our chairs have been arranged at 2 metres apart but there can be no gathering together to chat inside and sadly no kisses, hugs or handshakes.
Our children’s area, toys and children’s activities have sadly had to be packed away temporarily for reasons of hygiene.
There is a family space for one family bubble at the back of the church. You will need to bring your own toys.
Our kitchen will not be used on a Sunday and so we won’t have refreshments.
Please bring own refreshment if you will need a drink.
If you need to use the toilets whilst you are in the building, there will be disinfectant wipes to use to keep the facilities spotlessly clean and swing bins to put your used wipes in. Please wash your hands thoroughly after using the facilities before returning to any other church areas.
We shall no longer have bags passed round for our offertory during our services but there will be one offertory box at the door for you to place your gift in as you leave and prayers will be said during the service.
If you start to feel
unwell with flu or virus symptoms whilst at church,
please leave straight away and not wait until the end of the service.
Return home and seek medical help.
On leaving the church, we shall exit one row at a time,
starting at the back. Please use the hand gel again as you leave.
We need to emphasize the point that although we've done risk assessments and put various measures in place, this does not mean that Bramerton Road Community Church is a COVID-free zone, only that we have done all we can to mitigate the spread of the disease.
Please help us in keeping our facility as COVID-secure as possible.
